Elite boxers meet today at Rising Stars Arabia in Abu Dhabi

On March 2nd, 2024, Abu Dhabi will host the third edition of the Rising Stars Arabia (RSA 3) pro boxing series. This event, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, will take place outdoors at the Yas Links Golf Course.

The main event of the evening will feature a 10-round match between Moroccan super featherweight Jaouad “The Moroccan Bomber” Belmehdi (19-1-3, 9 KOs) and undefeated Alfred Lamptey (13-0, 9 KOs), the No.1 ranked Ghanaian and African star. Belmehdi, a former French Lightweight Champion, is currently on a three-fight win streak and has notable victories over James Chereji (17-1), Sebri Sediri (13-1-1), and Meyyl Vegas (19-2). Lamptey, only 21 years old, is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth Silver, World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Youth, and Ghana super featherweight champion.

In the co-featured event, local favorite Fahad “Kid Emirati” Al Bloushi (13-1, 3 KOs) will take on Venezuelan lightweight Andres Garcia (14-7-1, 11 KOs) in an eight-round bout. Al Bloushi, who is currently on a 12-fight win streak, holds the record for the most experienced Emirati boxer with 14 professional fights.

Undefeated UAE super flyweight Sultan Al Nuaimi (10-0, 6 KOs) will also be in action, facing off against Eliu Canario (14-3, 11 KOs) in a 10-round bout. And in what is being called the toughest test of his young career, promising Iraq light heavyweight prospect Amer Kadhum Ghaneem (3-0, 1 KO) will take on WBC Asian Continental Super Middleweight Champion Wulamu Tulake (11-3-1, 6 KOs).
